What to do?

My firefish has a little spot on its left side. It's a little bit smaller then pretzel salt and not raised. The fish has not shown any symptoms of being unhealthy. He's eating great. Nothing has changed since I got him. After seeing a fish with ich I know it's not that. So I really don't know what it could be. Or if I should just go ahead and put him/her in.

i would leave it in the qt tank for a while. can you post a pic of the spot?

alls i have is my camera phone which won't allow me to take a good enough picture for you to see

I've got admit, if you've got the set up to wait ,then wait. It's just not worth the risk. It would be a lot easier to help though if you could get a picture, any chance you can borrow a camera? It would really help to identify the problem.

I guess that I should definetly wait. I start a photography class in about a week and a half so I'm sure they'll let me borrow a camera. I'll just wait until then.

Guess what two months later and still no digital camera. The firefish is exactly the same. spot hasn't got bigger, smaller, moved, anything. So i'm thinking of just putting him in. Suggestions, thoughts?????

maybe give it 4-7 days than try,you'll never know if you don't try.
