i personally love fissidens, probably because i had more luck with growing it than any moss. And it looks very different than just a regular moss.

I agree, Fissidens is very unique looking. So is Subwassertang!

I really like that fissiden fontanus! What are its lighting requirements? I read both >2.5w/gal & "any light".

Subwassertang looks fragile but pretty...sigh...I only have java moss.

I wish I could shell out the cash, and also have enough room for Flame Moss.

Its "fissidens", I keep forgetting the S for some reason

Moderate light or better. You know its actually native to the USA, but it is only cultivated commercially in Asia! It is a very cool plant. It will make the most interesting carpet on the tank you have ever seen, or conture with wood or rock. Shrimp love it. Corys love it. I have a couple loaches that sit inside a clump of it with their head poking out! They look like little snakes looking out of their den! :grinyes:

Here is some NEW mosses even Mgamer doesn't have! ;)

The fissidens I have just doesn't want to grow. I might fall in love with it when I have enough to do something with it.

So my vote goes to Christmas or Singapore moss. They're very similarly structured and I love the way the fronds fan out. A single frond can be photographed to look like a fir tree.
