guppies question

hello.
i have a female guppies, the belle is big and very black when i purchase, so i assume the guppies is going to have babies soon...(wrong)
Then I place them with other male guppies, her belle turn yellow in colorand gettiing bigger, I place it back to another 10 gal tank all by herself,
still no babies yet, now her belle got some yellow and black spot.
and it beem almost 2 weeks now.
how can i really tell the guppies is going to have babies soon,
since the color of the belle doesn't tell me anything.

if you really want babies just put the females with the males and leave them alone, they will handle the rest. and keep an eye on them while they are doing it. maybe making a note of any changes each day. that way you can learn what signals impending birthing.

I would leave her in one tank with plenty of plant cover. Let her feel relaxed and comfortable and she will produce young. They have fry every 21-28 days. Do not worry, it doesn't happen over night.
