A month ago I got some MTS that are acting strange, or at least according to what people say they act like. This is the first time I've kept them, so I'm not an expert.

First, everyone says that they disappear during the daytime. Mine don't, they go about their business whether the lights are on or off, day or night. Also, they tend to wander a bit...I find a lot of them crawling across the inside of the tank hood, and find a shell every so often on the tank stand from where one didn't take the left at Albuquerque. I have however, saw shells like this in stores, so I guess that exploration isn't specific to my tank. I just thought it odd that my tank is apparently full of non-nocturnal snails.

They'll still be out and about during the day, especially if there is food, but chances are that it isn't the entirety of your colony.

I can always see some of mine during the day but if I turn out the lights for awhile then switch the lights on again, there will be hundreds out and about. If you just got them, give them time to develop their colony and before long you will have so many you won't know what to do with them. :)

Of course she will Bunny, she has loaches. LOL.

Mine explore all the time not just at night. I said pretty much the same thing you did when I got mine. I was like what are ya'll doin out the light is on. Didn't matter to them either. I have even had some to escape out of the tank just like you. I just throw them back in. You will be suprised how long they can live out of water.
