Hi folks!
I'm located in the western suburbs of Chicago. I've kept fish on and off since I was a kid. I started with a 10 gallon years ago, and that's morphed into a 125 and a 29 (with probably about a half dozen extra empty tanks floating around the house).
The 125 is my project, and it truly started as more of a turtle project. It's home to a pair of Northern Diamondback Terrapins, as well as a school of about 30 brilliant rasboras and a dozen barbs (threadfin and arulius). There's a single brave guppy that hasn't been eaten yet and a 5 inch bristlenose plecostomus.
The 29 is truly more my husband's pet- it's a reef tank with assorted coral, a tomato clown, a bi-color blenny, and a mess of other inverts. Currently, he's battling a helluva hair algae problem.
The rest of the family is composed of two dogs (basenji and australian cattle dog), a cat, and a horse.
I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you!
