I'm looking to turn a 125 gallon tank into a turtle habitat and am looking up prices for certain supplies:

36" Repti glo 5.0
36" Full spectrum light
pump for a DIY canister filter (not sure how large I need yet)
filter media (i.e. bio rings, and sponges)
aquarium tubing
and other little general supplies for setting up a DIY canister

I'm finding that some of these things alone will cost a small fortune. Does anyone have a website that is inexpensive and reliable that might have all these things in one shot?

the pumps and filter supplies and stuff you should be able to find at www.kensfish.com (http://www.kensfish.com). He has excellent customer service and cheap shipping as well as excellent prices on his supplies.

when they say that a water pump has a max head of 6 ft. 7 inches...what does that mean?

it means it can pump water a maximum height of 6' 7", any higher and water will not be able to flow at all.
