Forgive me if this has already been discussed but I couldn't find much on the subject...

I bought a "Flower Shrimp" 2 days ago and have not seen him since. Do you think he could be hiding? There are LOTS of hiding spaces but I haven't seen hide nor hare of him since I got him.

I have a powder blue gourami (not agressive at all) 3 cherry barbs, 3 neons, 3 rasboras, and 2 platys in a 20g tank...any ideas? Any help would be appreciated. I checked the area around the tank to see if he might have escaped and dried up but I haven't found a body.

HMM i not sure but i wouldn't rule the fish out.Even if they didn't kill him they might be stressing him out

I honestly think its probably hiding, but would be worried about that gourami even if it has appeared peaceful.

Well, if there are lots of places to hide, start checking:p:

If you have a HOB filter with a outlet that is in the water have a peek into your filter. My daughter got 2 for our community tank some time ago and one of them spent much of it's time in the filter feeding....

All of my cherry shrimp have gone into hiding since I added 2 gouramis .. they used to crawl all over the driftwood all day, now they hide in the moss and najas.

Thanks for all the replies! I guess I'll just have to wait and see and I'll check out the filter too, just in case...

hope you find them safe and sound hiding but with the gouramis i would think they may have ended up as food.

It pays to look in your filter:

Have you looked in high flow areas?
