im moving to a new place september 1st and i have a 15 gallon that is running very smoothly. the thing is that its an old tank and i just started this year so i want to get a bigger tank. a couple questions...

1. i currently have 5 platies, an african butterfly fish, and 5 cories... what else could i put in if i changed to a 30 gallon tank?

2. how much money would it be for just the tank and the lid?

3. would it be worth it to do all this?

thanks. please comment as soon as possible since i need to make a decision this week.

1. you could have some more corydoras. i would be wary of the ABF and the platies though. ABF's have huge mouths. rams are also an option.

2. it really depends on your area, but you can expect anywhere from $30-$75 IME. dont forget that you may need to buy a bigger heater and another filter.

3. yes.

The more space the better.

The ABF will limit your stock as they will get anything that fits in their mouth, which is pretty much any small, torpedo shaped fish like tetras, rasboras, etc. The platies are iffy, I would just watch for it.

Rams or apistos would work nicely for a centerpiece. More corys though...

i was thinking i could sell back the platies and abf, but a couple more cories, maybe an angel or two... what else
