Alright, here they are. I got 3 more to replace the ones I lost. I think I will stick to 5 in the 29 for the moment. Until I can get the funds for more driftwood, it stays this way. 3 of the girls are in a 10g for QT purposes, I am not losing my other two the same way.

Now, for one you really didn't expect, a wildish betta

I got her from Petsmart, but not sure exactly where she came from. If she has been bred from captivity, she sure wasn't too far along. I'm guessing first generation, maybe second. But she is deff a wild strain.

By the way, you are welcome to give names for everyone except Jadzia, I'm having trouble coming up with something.

Nice females; I really like the coloring of the one in the fourth picture.. makes me crave pink starburst candy heheh

Make sure you read up on introducing the new females to your existing ones. If you just plop them in the tank, the existing females will be very aggressive and can relentlessly attack the "intruders". One method I've read is to take all the females out of all tanks, separate them individually, redecorate the tank you are putting them all in, (acclimate them appropriately) and release them into the tank at the same time. This allows them to create a new pecking order.

On a side note, the first new betta and the "wild" betta pictured have raggedy looking fins. You might want to isolate them individually and look into causes/treatment. Maybe their fins looked bad when you aquired them, or else they may be getting picked on. I also trust the male pictured is not in any tank with females. (Should be kept separate, can stress or injure the females/himself if he's in their company)
