So I got home today from a very long trip to NY tonight & when I checked on my eggs they were almost completely gone! The snails were eating their way out of the sacs so it was very cool! My camera will NOT focus when I zoom in so this are the best photos I could get.

The clutch on the left was found in the water so I was expecting them to not be viable. :( But that is kinda a good thing because I do not have the space for all those snails! :omg:

I have moved them over to my shrimp tank so I can keep a better eye on them though. I think I may have shrimplets coming soon too! The other day it looked like a shrimp was picking small white dots up and putting them into her swimmerettes (SP!), were they possibly eggs?

Well we are up to about 20 and a few are moving away from the clutch so I guess they got all the "sac" they could eat for now. :D

1 question though. IF I have 20 how long could they live in my shrimp tank before causing an issue with the bio-load? I know full grown they need 2.5g each. The tank, 10g, has about 10-15 MTS & 10 RCS.

*edit* forgot to add the pictures!

Very cool! I imagine the babies are really cute too but I can't get past the egg sac at the moment.

Thanks everyone! The first picture attached to this reply has almost no egg sac in it for anyone that wants to see the babies and not the "mess". :) There are 28 now and it looks like at least 2 more are trying to get out.

Awww cute little babies. Are they able to get in the tank? They need to go ahead and get in the water, if you haven't helped them already. Good Luck with all your babies.

In my opinion when they hit pea size is when they really start making a bio load.

Last time I counted there were about 30 or so and they have ventured into the tank, a couple needed a motherly push. :) Once they were in the tank they were almost invisible! I probably won't have anymore pictures since my camera will not focus when zooming in. :(

The clutch was squeezed in the back corner of the tank & the filter intake tube above the water line.

I will most likely give these guys to friends & family first then sell any others to the LFS. I would love to keep them but I do not have a 75 gallon tank to dedicate to just snails!! :)
