I know, silly question right? Well, it kinda sucks to be color-deficient like I am.

I'm thinking about adding more substrate to my tank (currently about an inch deep when spread out evenly) and it's currently this color:

I was thinking of getting Flourite (not too happy with this Red Sea stuff...not dense enough) and adding it on to places I need more depth. I don't want the colors to be too different and was wondering which Flourite would mix better. I'm thinking that regular Flourite would be the better match.

Help me out.

brownish / red. Are you color blind? if so that must stink.

and i think it would be an almost perfect match :)

I think it would mix OK. Fluorite isnt one solid color, rather its a mixture of white, black, and browns.. There is a red version of fluorite, have never seen that in person.

I think it'll match ok, not exactly, but ok.

^ Thats it

Regular Flourite will blend well with what you have, since its a blend of browns really. Flourite dark is very dark brown, and looks to be a unified color too, looks like poo to me, lol.

Also be warned, no matter how much you wash flourite, it will cloud up for about a day at the longest, but its normal.

I see. Thanks for the help, all of you. Yeah, I read about the cloudiness issues and I'm not too worried about it. The stuff I have now is pretty cloudy.

Yeah, I think I'm red-green colorblind. I haven't pinpointed which one it really is but that seems to be what it is.

How much should I be looking to pay for a bag of Flourite in stores? I've seen it online for $~18.
