View Full Version : Hi all, I'm new here and need help with my Glass Cat

I noticed on Thursday that my Glass Cat had white spots all over him, I've had fish with ich before and this didn't look like what they've had, although I figured that since his body is see through the spots may look bigger than on other fish. I was hesitant to treat him for ich since he didn't show any other signs (flashing, etc.) and none of my other fish have any spots. I took a picture of him and took it to the pet store and the girl I spoke with believed it to be ich so I began treatment. Now 2 days later he's looking a little worse but still not showing any other symptoms and again the other fish are fine. I don't want to continue treatment for ich if that's not the problem so I'm hoping someone can help identify what the problem may be. Here are some photos, sorry they're rather blurry.

Just to give you a bit more info.:
We've had this aquarium for 6 months and haven't had any problems before now.
Ammonia-0
Nitrite-0
Nitrate-10-20
pH-7.2
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

It wont allow me to view those pics. If you have seen ich before, then possible that it could be fungal. I have had issues with the fungal problems on some of my fish. Cant really say tho as I cant see the images.

Welcome to AC! I think that if its not ich, its probably fungus, but I wouldn't know for sure since I can't see the pics either. If it is fungus, treat with Maroxy or methylene blue.

I moved the message to the General Freshwater forum and put in a new link to my blurry pictures. I had to take them with my phone so the quality is lacking.
