Got the plants just now CFSINC and boy are they beautiful that red ludwiga sure is RED! Both plants arrived in good shape, The red ludwiga was a little dry but still looked good. The paper towels was still moist. Just in time I did a rescape and water change and was waiting for the mailman to come :) Now its planting time. Thanks again was a pleasure doing business with you!

Plantings done. That Red Rotala was a beautiful specimen. The red ludwiga was a little dry but I think it should be ok. Hopefully they thrive in my tank. Asides from the pressurized C02 anything else needed to maintain them? Will start using dry ferts. Have the red sea turbo bio injection c02 system and two 65 watt Smartpaq (10,000K/460 NM Actinic) for lighting. Should that be ok? Well thanks again CFSINC! Wish me luck!

Marl - how big is your tank? How many wpg do you have? They loved my tank, hopefully they will respond as well in yours!
When you get a chance, could you post a pic?

Visit a supermarket, most store brand sodas have 3L bottles.
Just to give you a heads up your lights arnt perfect for a planted aquarium. Actinic is a waste of watts here. Seek bulbs that are just 6700-10000K (not actinic)

Are these plants good for beginners, i.e. don't require a lot of special maintenance?

I have them under 3.7 wpg, with pressurized Co2 and daily ferts ... a high tech setup. They would likely be more of a challenge under different (lesser) conditions!
