...What would you choose?. Assuming here you are OK with genetically engineered fish.
Ideas for me:
- Dwarf arowana which grows to be 1' and has a reduced drive/ desire to jump.
- Synodontis and plecos with jelly fish genes...Love the fish, find them a bit drab.
- Some kind of pacu/ tetra hybrid which would be small and eat fruits.
- More disease resistance for all fish.

A 1' betta spendens would be nasty. I mean as is they sometimes charge and flare at people.

Nothing genetically engineered. A new-found natural occuring species? Sure!
I'd have to say mini-goldfish and 1' pacus appeal to me ;)

I'd want male bettas, all variations, that get along with other male bettas.
They are beautiful fish and a tank full of them with a wide color variety would be absolutely amazing to view.
