hey folks, hope you're all doing well.
popped over from TPF, came to have a nosy and see what's what
anyway, I'm Jay, I live in Derbyshire in the UK, got a GSP, Dwarf angel and goby in a Juwel rio 180, only been at marine SG for the last couple of months, but enjoyed the challenges the rise from brackish bought, and learnt so much on the way... much more to learn though.
hope to chat with some of you soon
Take care all
Jay :cool-1:

are there any good marine stores around you? would like something a little closer that can be regularly visited without too much agro
I've been using Maidenhead aquatics in Earlswood, south Birmingham, and Shirley aquatics at blooms garden centre, balsall heath near Coventry, and the one in Solihill. Recently discovered simplyseahorses.co.uk up in Northwich, Cheshire, which is now my favourite place, and I've only been there the once :)

lol I shall have to get niko (reefscape) on that answer for you. He is the marine guy, atm i am a freshie. Its been a long long time since i had marine and i was living in Worthing at the time. There are a couple of places that do marine. There is one thats pretty new in it, so the tanks are still establishing. Tho they must be at a good point in the cycling as they have started to be getting more fish in.
I have now decided my next fish will be a marine one tho lol. I Need a dog faced puffer lol. :D

yeah, it is pretty nice, that's where I got my Yellowfin Dwarf Angel last weekend, they had a couple of really healthy, happy looking 4"-5" porcs in stock, it's just a bit of a trek, hence the need for something a little closer for possible emergency supplies etc.
The ones in Birmingham are great When I stay at my partners, they are no further than 15 to 20 mins away, but when I'm home, it would be nice to find somewhere within half an hours drive so I can finish work at 4:30 and get there with at least a half hour spare

If its more for emergency supplies im sure Niko can tell you where to go. I know theres one in Tunstall that has a load of marine stuff. And there are a couple more about round here that do marine fish so I imagine they would do for supplies. Dont think the fish selection is all that great.
