hey i was just wondering would it be ok to put 2 severums with 2 oscars in a 55 gallon tank.
Would they fight each other because i am getting them at a very small and very young age.
They would all be about 2 inches.
Thanx :)

They would be OK for a short period of time. 55 gallons is only enough for a single adult oscar however.

the fish are compatable but a 55 is only suitable for ONE of the fish that you want not all 4. the oscars especially grow very fast.

on that note I would suggest if you do this get larger severums so the oscars cant swallow them. there will be very little aggression if they have enough room and no one is bite size.

Yep, the oscars will grow faster and might make a lunch out of the severum. For those 4 fish, think 125-150 gallons for full grown fish.

I doubt the Oscars would eat the Severums. Severums are fast growing cichlids as well. However, as previously stated, that tank is WAY too small for 4 cichlids that size.

Two severums would do fine in a 55.
