I was looking at my Unicorn Tang yestaurday, and low and behold, I saw a bump starting to form on his forehead, with what seems to be a little bone starting to form in the tip.

I thought this type of unicorn wouldn't grow a horn, seeing how I've had it for a while and nothing's been happening.. Anyway, now I can't wait to see whether this horn will continue growing..

My question is: Does anyonw know why Unicorn tangs have a hormn ? ? ?

To be different than all the rest :D

Not quite sure on the horn as to why they have them but it is only the males that have the big horns. It does take quite some time for the horn to develop and the fish is usually pretty good size when they do. It takes about a year in typical captive conditions to see the bony growth starting to protrude from the forehead.

They are a very common fish here.

I heard they're pretty common there.

I hear people eat Unicorns where you're from.... have you ever had? (as sad and wierd as they sounds)
