Looks like it's true what they say about having bacteria in the bag. They really do have nitrobacter and nitrosomas bacteria in eco. It works. Eco-complete instant cycled my new 10 gallon tank. The parameters were pH 7.6, Ammonia 0, Nitrite 0, Nitrate 10 after added eco. What a start off.

I'd keep an eye on the parameters.

Im not sure if its a complete cycle.....I find it hard to believe that those bacteria can live in those bags for that long with no food source....

I'll keep my eyes peeled. Yesterday the parameters was just perfect. I'll test the water today. Like right now.

no i dont think so. prob just have nitrate in your water.

I think I only have ammonia/nitrite in my water. In fact this water is actually the next day after pouring eco in. How could ammonia be 0 and nitrite be 0? :grinno:

I would say the bags were totally new shipped to the lfs.

I will wait for the test results. Im not sure if I have ever read of somebody using eco and it instantly cycled the tank, but we shall see :)

Here we go! :) These pictures show ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate.
