I've got a firemouth (juvenile, 2 to 3 inches) in a 120gal with a couple of juvenile oscars and some silver dollars. I've had him for a couple of months now with no problem. I just noticed yesterday that he has some kind of growth on one of his gill covers. It's nasty looking, kind of tumor-like - almost looks like a couple of small white growths with a fungus like film covering them. He seems fine - still eats hardy, is social, no flashing or anything. This just kind of appeared overnight - any thoughts?
