trusting a petco employee??? i asked about a actinic light for my aquarium or anything that would give me a blue effect and I bring it home put it in and bam.... a regular light! i checked the light it matches what the box says, but the box says:
10,000K emissions in the blue spectrum
he told me that meant it would be a light blueish color.\

my experts what am i looking for please! I need a 24" blue light in a whatt higher than 20. anyone know where I can get this for less than $20.00??

10,000K should be a light blue color. I think you could find one at a specialty plant store, or if you are lucky, a hardware store.

not a true actinic bulb take it back. might have luck at home depot lowes why do you want a actinic bulb?

you are not going to find a 24" tube with more than 20w, its impossible.
