now as many of you have found out I tend to go on some crazy *** adventures...everyone remembers water snake right? haha anyways today I went down to a tent sale at a marine lighting place. They usually aren't open to the general public but they had to clean house and a new coral distro is opening up in connecticut so they had some of their corals there as a "hey this what we can get". Finally they had a raffle at the end of the thing. And HOLY CRAP they had some INSANE and let me clarify I N S A N E prices on some of the most delicious lightening I've seen. They had 450W MH for 500..T5's with 5 lights for 450 just OH MY GOD type crap. Any type of retrofit, bulbs, ballast, that were like 30-60 bucks were 20 and under just amazing prices..So now for the corals they had some UN GODLY cheap crap coming in like ducans that were 25 A HEAD! Acros all over the place...All types of zoas..the MOST AMAZING CALM I've seen in my eyes..and the prices were lower then any online store I've seen in my life. I picked up the following....
Large Ultra Grade Crocea Clam - 70
Orange Tree Gorgonian - 30
Superman Mushrooms - 40
now the raffle which was the best BY FAR..
1. 48" T5 5 Light System with bulbs
2. Frag of coral (of your choice)
3. Scott's Fairy Wrasse
4. Blue Spotted Jawfish
so clearly with the expection MAYBE of number 2 the rest of the prizes where HOLY CRAP!..By the way I was 1 number off the first, and third one but I won the 4th! 150 dollar fish for a dollar (had to buy my raffle ticket)
By the way the turn out SUCKED! there were seriously MAYBE 10 people there? such a shame but thats why you ALL should go to ANY event cuz you have no idea whats gonna happen..and pics will be up in my saltwater thread soon
