I have some 2"-3" baby comets that need to come out of the pond and find new homes, but I have no clue how to get them out.
The pond is heavily planted, with driftwood and rocks as well.. I do not want to wait until winter to catch them, so how can I? are there any fish traps that I could buy or make that would not hurt them? I am only keeping one of the babies from this year, so I need to get 5-6 out.

you could try a soda bottle trap baited with food.

Get a net, throw some food into the pond, and when they come to the surface to get hte food, net them real quick. Or, you can try one of those wire mesh minnow traps.

Put a bucket in the pond. Feed them in the bucket for a few days using a piece of wood or floating plastic to keep the food inside of the bucket. After they all start feeding in the bucket you can put a lid on the bucket to catch all that you want.

I've gotten my female fantail and 2 babies out.
The fantail has gotten huge, at least 3 times the size from this spring.. I got her for free, too :D

i would just get straigh to it and take everything out
that way it would be alot easier
and just net the fish out
