New tanks. Yes that's plural for a reason.

So today my mom was talking about my tank I just got for Viper geckos. I explained it was probably for 4 females as I'm not sure where to put the male. Next she was asking me why not breed them? I told her it was because I couldn't have a male, she said sure put a tank in your room for your male and as for this tank I think it should go right there in the corner.

Next she was looking at my zebra danios and asked when they would lay eggs, I answered they have several times but they eat them and any fry that survive get eaten by the other creatures or the parent, the rest that find a place to hide inveitably find the filter. Her answer put a breeding tank in your room, and when you build the stand for your 20g viper tank put a 10g below it for the male. That way they all have a place and maybe if they have babys you can make back some money.

Well what was my answer to all this. I love you mom.

I am going to take everything she does for me in the best possible way.

She kinda understands that I have this thing about doing things right. I only buy the best, I only make the best, and I only like the best (Hence why I picked the girlfriend that I did, lol thought I would throw that in).

She understands me, no small feat. I have some little, okay, big quirks. I am odd, I am many of my teachers favorites, and yet probably one of their worst students. I had my credits suspended last semester 2 times for missing school, I had well over 50 missing assignments ( In fact some of my teachers enacted rules stating a missing assaingment will earn you 15 minutes of detention, I was exempt for some reason, even had teachers defend me. I remember one stating, this is not Dereks fault he has the 5th highest grade in this class and has 10 missing assignments but its not his fault, if you want to blame someone blame yourself.) I get in trouble for cussing, I choked a kid out in class and only got 4 hours of detention, I never pay attention in class, and yet all of my teachers call my mom and tell her I am their best student, mostly after I score in the top 10 when we take school wide tests.

I pretty much never do the chores i'm told to until a week or two later and then probably I half as_ it.

I think she does really understand that school just bores me, and she also gets that I really love animals hence the 50 goats I had last year, so I built my first tank a 90g palaudarium and she absoulutley loves it. Now I think I have her interested as well so that helps. She knows that I want more too and she knows that I will pay and that they won't look shabby as I wouldn't like it.

But I'm just glad that she will be understanding of my new found hobby, and that I think she enjoys seeing me having fun just as much as I do seeing my ghost shrimp slurp up bloodworms like spaghetti.

I would like some design ideas for my little 5.5g breeder though with maybe some accompanying drawings, and a plan for my 10g male viper gecko cage.

The 5.5g has some restricitions though, no filter, I want some form of snail, some plants, and it has to have a slate background and pea gravel/ River rock on the bottom. I would like some suggestions on an air stone and what kind of snail and plants to put in.

The gecko cage will also have a slate background but from there I don't know.

I wonder if I could sneak in a RCS tank somewhere? Hmmmmmm.

I love my mommy though, and so do all my friends.

Hmmmmm..... new tanks, its really a burden to get new tanks because then I don't pay attention in school, oh wait I don't anyway.

I don't pay my insurance, I don't buy my gas and my truck gets 12mpg, and as for food if I want it she gets it because she hates trying to pick out things for us to eat so she just gets me too.

Shes a great mom.

Anybody got any suggestions on the tanks though. (see above for some outlining rules)

I don't know how sponge filters work but I am concerned about losing babies to the filter as I have seen them get sucked in the filter (fluval 2) in my big tank as well.
Its for zebra danios. If you explain how a sponge filter works it would help.
