I got a bunch of smaller pieces of wood and i want to use them to make a centerpiece so to speak.
Any safe ways to connect them so they hold together and are rigid. They don't have to look perfect as i plant to cover them in plants.
Stainless steel screws?

Yep, stainless steel screws. Or possibly aquarium sealant.
zip ties covered by moss another idea

I would use zip ties or fishing line. If you do use stainless steel screws be sure to pre drill so you don't split the wood.

if this is going in the tank, i dunno, but liquid nails glue and screws would make it sooo strong. Liquid nails is construction glue and so strong. I jumped on a box i made out of it with just glue and couldnt break it, mind u i am 180 lb's

I would'nt put liquid nails in a tank myself. Everything else mentioned sounds good.
Crazy glue another option or epoxy but it can be a mess..

The zip ties covered by moss (as BK suggested) is what I used and it worked like a charm. No real need for strength here.
