Can I use my 5 gallon mini bow front aquarium...I have an extra one laying around...I got a couple when they were on sale at petco for 8 bucks. I have a 72 gallon tank and a 150 gallon rated sump...so would the mini bow suffice as a refugium? It has a hood with light...I can cut out part of it for the water transfer thing I guess...is that enough room though? I am not positive how refugiums work. The sump came with some box and tube that could hang off it...is that what it is for? It's a pro clear sump. Thanks.

Umm hello? Anybody? Could I put the tank next to the sump in the cabinet? How would I connect them and have the water exchange?

I put my light hood from my mini bow down next to the sump where the bioballs are and I put a coralife 10 watt 50/50 bulb in it...will that suffice if I put chaeto and pods in there to replace the bioballs?

There is also the 20 watt 50/50...or should I just use a regular bulb without the actinic?

I have a filter pad and some nitrate rocks where the water enters the sump before it hits the bio balls...would I need to take the filter pad and rocks out? The chaeto eats nitrates right? So I probably should...what else can I put in it? Anybody care to join?

Got quite the conversation going here I see.. LOL

If that's all that will fit then use it/them. Personally 5 gal seems really pretty small to me.
