I just realized that the algae chips/wafers (Aquarian brand) that I was planning on feeding my new RCS contains copper sulfate.
I was wondering if it's safe to feed this to them since I know that copper is toxic to shrimp.....

If i remember correctly pretty much all of the algae wafers have copper sulfate... but a lot of websites recommend feeding them to the shrimp!

I use Hikari and OSI algae wafers, no mention of copper sulfate.

I feed my RCS, Hikari Sinking Pellets, with the Cory on the package. They swarm over it and their anubias's leaves also provide plenty of algae to eat as well.

I feed my Amano shrimp the same as Riiz, the Hikari Sinking Wafers with the cory on the front.

I have both the Hikari Sinking Wafers and Algae Wafers and they like them both. I was a little surprised when my corys liked algae wafers too.
