You know, those guys that you add water to and their eggs hatch. Do you think they could be put in with some small mouthed fishes like pygmy cories, freshwater gobies, etc., and live and even breed?

You can put some bigger ones with very peaceful inhabitants. The guy at mytriops.com did this.

The problem with breeding them in a tank with fish is that to get the eggs to hatch you must dry the substrate, and then rehydrate it. sounds like I will be setting up a bowl for them to breed in and then let one batch live their whole life in there until they breed. Then dry the sand rehidrate wait a day or 2 and take about half of them put them in my tank. that way I have a breeding supply.

They're pretty much like a FW (XL) brineshrimp in terms of lifecycle & being heavily predated upon by anything that can eat them. I would expect them to be somewhat more susceptible to predation than cherry shrimp.

Seems interesting. You have a tank plan?

My Triops were always on "attack mode" 24/7. Never seemed like they would get along with fish.

They will try to eat just about anything they can take down. Also possible seperate the groups out a bit since they also like to eat each other.

They are voracious predators and will indeed eat anything they can catch including fish at night and each other with Fairy Shrimp being their prefered food in the wild..... Very cool critters though.
