Can pennywort be planted down into substrate or will it inevitably float back up like hornwort does? Nice plants btw, everyone!
will float up but you can tie a stone or add a plant weight to the lower part and it will grow like that

Mine died for some reason and stopped producing roots...
I would like to have had them grow to the surface like what you got, but they melted away.

The plant does like good lighting and atleast some trace minerals in the water.
I started with about 12" portion and after a few months i had a ton and i mean a ton more
only if you were on this site earlier.. i wouldve hooked you up lol (showing only a fraction of what i had)
I gave up on the plant. It grew too fast for me and was hard to incorporate it into a scape
