my sister has a doughboy pool above ground pool, 24 feet long by 12 feet wide and 4 feet deep, with a filter and 1hp pump/motor my ? is, can the pump and filter be used on a pond, and if so how much would it be worth, i think the filter is a sand filter

I don't see why it wouldn't work as a pond filter. I have been wanting to try using one of the filters that come with those vinyl pool with the inflatable ring. The filters use a micron filter sleeve and should work as a great canister filter on a drilled tank.
