Hi, i'm new to fish keeping and I was wondering can I keep only one Saulosi in an aquarium? And possibly add a small catfish (maybe)? And if so what is a suitable tank for only one fish? (as my space is limited so a large tank is not really possible for me) I absolutely love this type of fish and was wondering would he be ok in a tank by himself or with one other small fish? Anyway thank you for any advice, I look forward to any responses :D

the male Pseudotropeus saulosi is a very beautiful african cichlid kinda reminds me of a demasoni and the females are even more beautiful with there yellow appearence, roughly i would say no to a small tank but with these nano cubes these days you can do alot with little space, so if that is your druthers only to have one fish and one catfish than you will need to get a cat that can hold up to the saulosi aggression because without a female to chase around he will chase a cat around usually the synodontis cats fits the bill for this situation upside down synodontis or even a lace synodontis but they too can get big so i would say at least one of those 25gal nano cubes would do and i really wouldnt go smaller than that, but watch those synodontis they can get pretty nasty back and some types get huge so do your homework..
