How come i always see ghost shrimp with plants...java moss in particular? Is that what they eat...thinking about adding some ghost shrimp with a tank full of java moss.

Java moss and other mosses are perfect plants for ghost shrimp, as well as other inverts. It provides them with shelter and food as pieces of fish food get stuck in the moss.

ghost shrimp will not eat the plant itself but will eat food caught in the plant from feeding other tank inhabitants.
They would be a good addition. You can put in lots. I found them to be helpful in helping control hair algae as they keep uneaten food from accumulating in the moss.
