Beginner Help!!!

I have a 55 gallon tank with 2 emperor angels and 10 damsels. I am thinking about adding 2 yellow tangs. Will the damsels attack the tangs like they do my angelfish? Could i put in a lion fish as well? and one last thing... how hard are shrooms? I got 75 lbs of liverock. Is a T-5 light fixture okay to provide adequate UV?:help:

2 yellow tangs is too many for 55g, unless you are plannng on getting rid of them or upgrading in the future when they get bigger, just like i'm hoping you are planning on doing with your angels. i think shrooms will do fine under T-5. but you can't add all this fish to a 55g. it's not like keeping fresh water, salt water fish is like gold fish as far as production of waste goes. as far as a lion goes, you want a dwarf lionfish. oh, i would get rid of damsels if i were you, because with all that fish in there now you don't have room for more. i think you pick all the wrong fish for your tank anyway.

I do plan on getting a bigger tank. I have a 300 gallon tank on order. Coming in, in about 2-3 months.

No more fish in that tank. Even if you were to get rid of all your damsels right now I still say you would have to many fish with just the 2 emperors. One emperor angel requires at least a 100G tank as it is. I wouldn't put any tangs in a 55G, way to small, even for a yellow or kole tang.

Right now they're all juvies. I figured in about 2-3 months it would be time to transfer them into a larger tank. What fish would you suggest for the 300 gallon?

can you post pics of your tank and fish? oh, i forgot to tell you that i don't know if your angels will bother mushrooms. i think angels eat everything, including corals. as far as 300g tank goes, i don't think i have to tell you that you can keep all that fish in it that you were talking about with ease
