Hi all,

I found this great piece of wood that used to be in an iguana's tank. It screws into a slate base. I've taken it apart and am cleaning it real good. I'm wondering what type of metal screws, if any, I can use to reassemble it. I do not trust those nylon bolts. Has anyone ever successfully used metal screws underwater in an aquarium?

Stainless if you want it to last for a while. Regular iron is ok too, it wont hurt the fishies or inverts.

Thanks for the info.. Got no pics so far.. it smells like pine but doesn't look like it... It might be that cedar bark was used as a bedding for the lizard... Any woods I should steer
clear of?
