so we just realized that the 36 inch hoods that came with our tank have plexi-glass dividers between the light and the tank (most hoods have this...kwim?).
but everything we've read says that uvb doesn't penetrate glass. is this true for plexiglass as well? we have a turtle and will have 1 repti-sun 5.0 and 1 repti-sun 2.0 in a double fixture hood. UNLESS of course, this hood is now no good.
so yeah, original question...does UVB penetrate plexiglass?
