it came with the plants, but what kind is it?
 
Looks like a ramshorn
 
They don't eat plants, but they can become quite prolific.
 
I like them, they eat uneaten food and decaying plant matter and some algae. They will reproduce asexually and quite readily with an ample food source. I find them to be a good gauge of maintenance. If you see that they are becoming too numerous, increase gravel vacs and decrease feeding.
 
ahh so thats why mine wont multiply lol. I wanted more but I guess i keep up my tanks too well lol
 
i agree with all. and i love them in my tanks, small numbers of course.
