I have the one bully discus picking one the one discus: I am considering either two more discus which everyone has suggested for my 55 gal or putting him in with some angel fish in my 38 gal tank; fish of similar size. Will this work or not? I have heard angel fish can be more aggressive so I am not sure.

No need to reply.....PH levels and aggression would be a problem.

huh? I keep angels with Discus and have no issues.
Particularly with wild Angels.
the Discus are larger and easily push the angel when they need to.
I would suspect the large aggressive Discus would be able to handle the angels.
but in my case it is a large angel in with a school of discus.
my thoughts tho..
add more discus to spread aggression.

If your Discus are healthy and the schools are similar in size. I suspect they will beat up Angels. You should treat all Angels for parasites before putting them in with Discus.

I know this thread is old but I think sportsnutim was talking about placing one angel with one discus...I don't think that's possible, do you?
