im setting up a 90g reef tank and i need a heater any suggestions thanks

2x 250W Visitherm Stealth. (many reefers are more concerned w/ getting a chiller, once they have adequate lighting).

Out of the blue, one of my friends sent me a chiller. Is the reason for 2 heaters, is that just in case one dies?

if one dies, having two will obviously help, but also to give your tank a more distributed heat isntead of having larger possible hotspots.

But if you put the heater in the sump, wouldn't it get distributed evenly?
