I have scoured the internet for good sites on killifish. I did find the killifish mailing list, maybe someone on there could help you.
The Baensch Atlas (don't know which volume) might have some more detailed info on these guys.
Check out http://groups.yahoo.com/group/killietrader/ or join their mailing list. Sorry, that's about the extent of my knowledge regarding killies.

Carefully! While most killis are kept in species tanks, it is possible to have some species in a community tank or in a mixed killi tank. The main issue is providing for their water parameters, watching for compatiblity issues like aggressiveness, and (please!) not putting together things the might hybridize.
Some killi links (I happen to greatly enjoy surfing sites, lol, but these are some of the better ones although I'm sure I've left something worthy out):
BKA's killis of western Africa page (http://www.killifish.f9.co.uk/Killifish/Killifish%20Website/Index.htm) (one of my favs)
The AKA (http://www.aka.org/) This site has just started a killi specific forum in addition to the killitalk mailing list (which is the one Graeme mentioned). Judging by the traffic on killitalk it should be well utilized soon although it's bit bit sparsely populated at present. Still a very good place to ask for specifics on compatibility if you don't want to join the mailing list though.
Affiliate AKA clubs (http://www.aka.org/pages/affiliates.html) Links to the webpages of local killi clubs like the one I belong too. One of the best ways to obtain killis. Northwest Killis (a "virtual club" with occasional meetings) even has it's own mailing list and many other clubs put out newsletters and other good stuff. You can also check around for local general fish clubs, there's killi nuts lurking everywhere ;)
The BKA (http://www.bka.org.uk/index.php) The British Killifish Association also has it's own mailing list although I don't have any experience with it personally. They have links to many international clubs too if anyone is interested.
African annuals (http://www.thebomb.clara.co.uk/) The "insta-fish" lol
killis.com (http://www.killies.com/) A nice site from Singpore with a good forum.
What killis are you thinking of? I'm still fairly new to the killi bit, but there has to be more killinuts running around here :D
