Ok cool. i didnt know for sure, any clues as to what this may be ... Really cool likes to be hand fed and rubs his nose on the glass like hes trying to hang out with you..Actually all butt the firemouth like to be handfed...

It's definitely not a Convict. It looks like a Mayan Cichlid to me, Cichlasoma urophthalmus. These guys are often wrongly sold as "Red Terrors".

yep yep thats him on in the pic with the fry....Look very similar....I'll get a better, pic....Hes black DARK black then Super white stripes when he wants to show off...plus he has ome gold flake in him....

Might be a hybrid. Not likely to be a zebra convict. The caudal fin is wrong shape to begin with. Looks more like a fronsotsa/mbuna mix.

If when colors up the white and black are extreme I would more likely be inclined to say fronstosia as the head shape and the caudal fin both are highly similar to the species. Any blue tint to the fins?
