Not sure if this is a major problem or not, but I've had a large hammer coral in my tank since I started (about 8 months now) and its always been out flowing & billowing with the flow of the water in the tank.
Just recently tho I've noticed that some parts of the coral are not coming out the full way (or at all). the majority is still out every day, there are spots that arent.
When I purchased it from the LFS, they said that it was a faairly easy to look after coral without many demands except water flow & good water conditions.
The flow in the tank is good, the coral is getting ample light (no MHs or T5s though) and the water conditions are testing fine (ammonia, ites, ates are all minimal if not zero, pH is fine as is salinity)
I feed the inhabitants of the tank with mysis shrimp regualrly so Im hoping that if the coral needs to feed it may pick up the odd bit from the mysis shrimps.... or not (?)
Any thoughts??
