I woke up today and noticed transparent wavy bunch thing on the bottom of my java fern. I googled it and found this site. http://www.fishlore.com/fishforum/guppy/1004-help-fat-guppies-white-fungus.html
It might be the same thing, or not. The fat fish part wasn't really answered. I don't know what to do since it is on a plant, not my driftwood or any other plant. One of my glofish died today, so I would like to know what to do. I will be posting pics soon. Thanks.

I just had my water conditions checked out at my LFS and they are fine. I have 4 glofish left and only two gold barbs remaining and an oto. They are in a 10 gallon tank.

Have you got a picture of it? You sure its not a fish thats died at the base of your plant that is covered in fungus? How often do you do tank maintenance? You really need your own test kits so you will know for sure what your water parameters are, personally I never trust an LFS, especially ones that use dip strips.

I have the same white looking "film" on some of my rhizomes. Would definitely be interested to find out what it is ;)

Sorry, but I don't see much in those photos. Can't even see if there is a rhizome in them. Where you moving when you took the pics?

Looks like a simple rotting rhizome, but that doesn't mean you don't have insidious stuff happening in your tank. Do a large water change immediately (~50%) and use a store bought test kit (like API) to test all your water parameters... sounds like you may be experiencing poor water quality and/or bacterial infection (dropsy is swelling of the fish with a pine-cone effect on the scales).

Can we get a shot of the 'fat' glofish?
