Hello all.
I jumped on the board a few days ago and never 'introduced' myself. I have actualy been a member since June 2005 but never made a post until this week.
I have a little over 20 years experience in keeping aquariums, FW community, FW planted, SW FO, SW FOWLR and Reef.
My last tank was a 90g Gulf of Mexico Reef biotope tank featuring Pacific Montastrea corals as fascimiles of Gulf corals and a school of Atlantic Blue Chromis. The tank was encursted with coralline, pink sponge and gorgonias...yes the gorgonias were encrusting the rock in my tank. The tank was lost during Gustav due to a prolonged power outage.
My plans for the tank now is a dedicated brackish estuary biotope for a set of dragon gobies. I just need a break from the reef hobby for a few years yet wanted something as challenging and rewarding.
Overall I have found this board to be welcoming and helpful and wish I would have spent more time on it in the past, as opposed to some other online reef boards.
