actinic is for salt, it doesn't do much for plants. They sell a fresh water version at some places, I think it has a 10k & a 6500 bulbs.

yeah, you can get the nova extreme t5 HO x2 which is the 2 bulb version and you can get the fw or saltwater version with the different bulbs. Novas are more expensive than the one you are looking at though. I dont know about buying replacements, but from what i have seen they can get a little pricey, some are around 20-30 to replace

Thanks guys, what is the best alternative for FW that is not pricey, or a recomindation of taller low ligh plants.

kinda lost in your question..... if you buy the sw one you just switch the bulb out..... you get what you pay for.
