Is a reading of 197 normal for tapwater?

Just curious...

Well, there's no such thing as normal for tap water. Some tap water is very hard and has a TDS reading of several hundred parts mer million. But a reading of 197 is very soft water. And it is good for soft water fish. My own tap water reads about 175 ppm.

How do you measure the TDS of your water? It there a TDS test? or do yo uhave to have one of those TDS meters?

I found out my taps TDS by checking the water company's site but how do i measure my tanks?

Yes, you use a TDS meter...
