Ok have been out of salt for almost a year.Missing it so want to start a small tank.Thinking a 10 with a built in tank refugium-wet/dry so like 8 gallons in a 10x16 space.
Sugestions and Ideas are wanted and NEEDED.
How many watts would I need to keep a SMALL anenome and a few soft corals.
My plan is to do weekly 10% water changes(or more?5%by weekly?) as I mostly will be just blowing water around and a little wet/dry action.
What kinda rock should I use we have like 5 areas our rock comes from and have seen most basicaly what kind do you think will give me the best results in a small tank kupang, fuji, tonga, valencia or others?

BTW I know how to cycle maintain/set it up just dont know my SW livestock that well.

For corals and anemones you will need 3-5 watts per gallon lighting. I am getting good results from my 10,000 K and Actinic setup over my 10 gallon tank. Right now there are a couple polyps that seem to be growing. Your water change regimen sounds good. Weekly 5-10% changes ought to keep your water parameters where you want them.

For live rock, I like aquacultured rock from Gulf View. Lots of life, lots of coralline algae, and some neat hitchhikers came in on mine. Plus, it's from an aquacultured rock farm, so you aren't disturbing any reefs.
