My condy eats frozen shrimp (local store) and frozen krill.

First, LOTS and LOTS of light. You need to have some powerful illumination to keep an anemone healthy. This lighting needs to be supplemented with regular feedings of meaty foods, like shrimp, krill, etc. Feeding silversides and small fish should be done rarely as the anemone will expel many more waste products (bone, scales) that can foul up water quality.

Interestingly Robert Fenner advises NOT to feed anything to an Anemone. He states it is important to keep a clownfish with the Anemone, as that will take care of the extra feeding. I have followed that advice and allow my two Ocellaris take care of the Anemone (BTA)

really?

why does his page about anemones say this

Within normal temperatures and other conditions, most can and do do well on weekly feedings. If you're going on vacation, leave them alone.

For almost all varieties kept, an occasional (weekly or so) perfusion (wash?) of live brine shrimp, prepared mash of frozen or dried food, or frappe' (as in with your blender) of "fresh" marine food meant for human consumption (shellfish, shrimp, langouste, not-so-oily fish) with or without supplementation. Temporarily turn off your particulate filters and squirt the food onto their tentacular surface.

Some authors suggest the use of beef and other foods unlikely to be encountered in the wild. I do not.

Well, Fenner has been know to contradict himself in the past - not nearly as much as Shimek though ;)

you would think the "experts" would actually have proof of something before making claims  :D

It just goes to show you how new this hobby really is.

I would not even know how to feed the Anemone. What with the two clowns constantly rummaging around in there, there would be no way anything would stay in place.:(

youd be suprised how readily anemones grab onto and consume large pieces of food. take a piece of shrimp and drop it so it falls on the anemone. watch the fun :D

shoot when I had my condy I would put a peice of shrimp in my fingers and touch it to one of the tenacles then instantly all the other tenacles would enclose my fingers and pull the shrimp into its mouth.
sure do with I could get another one...
