Will guppies eat shrimp? I am considering adding shrimp to my 20 long which has guppies and corys in it.
 
No. If hungry they may nip at them, but it is definitely possible to keep them together. Some would argue that for the shrimp to truly thrive they should be in a tank without fish, but it depends on how exactly you feel about that. I have shrimp in with cories, discus, platies, gold nugget pleco, angelicus botia, Synodontis petricola, serpae tetras, glass tetras, kuhili loaches, cherry barbs, and guppies.

It would be safer to start with cheap shrimp like ghost shrimp and if they do well then invest a little more money into the 'fancier' species like amano or cherry.

I have guppies in with my shrimp, and they completely ignore them. The shrimp population has exploded to the point where I dont think the guppies eat even tiny baby shrimp. I have a lot of cover and small spaces for the shrimp to hide in, and also keep my guppies well fed by feeding small amounts 2-3 times a day.
 
i keep half a dozen in with cherrys and crystals with no harm done. heavily planted. but if the fish do hunger they may try to eat the babies.
 
My family community tank has Guppies, Neons, Corys, Glow light tetras, and a couple minnows my daughter caught and the shrimp she insisted on also having were really doing well until the minnows grew up (Chubs I think) They are eating the young shrimp I think, but she will not get rid of them...sigh.
