My mom rescued a yellow lab named Harley around Christmas and wanted to get him a friend. Saturday she had Emily this little lab mix visit for a trial run. She got along great with Harley but not the cats. She talked to the foster mom and now I am going through the trial. She isn't officially mine yet but. I don't see why we wouldn't get to keep her. I can't believe this sweet girl lived on the streets. She is a bit shy but seems to be getting better each day.
Here is a picture of her laying in the living room.

Here is a link to her page on the rescue's site.

Harley found a friend from the same rescue. His name is Tanner.
http://abuddyforlife.org/pets.html?id=1887 Everything is going great so far so chances are he is going to be adopted. Harley and Tanner have been nicked named Dumb and Dumber.

Here are some pictures of Harley.

You brought me to tears. Both of my dogs are rescues and my life would be very different without them. Thank you for sharing your stories with me.

What a cutie! Kind of like mine (see my avatar) - she's also a rescue from the streets. Good luck, I'm sure you will get to keep her!

I want a dog. Thing is I probably have to wait until I am self empowered..I'm impatient:(.

Anyways...cute pup, have fun with your new pup.

Oh! I love how she lays "frog dog" with her back legs behind her. All of my corgis do that and it must be a sign of a good dog. Good luck with her! :)

Did you keep her, Jess?
I have to say, I see a little bit of pittie in her... not like a direct pit lab cross, but maybe the father was a pitlab and the mom was a lab(or the other way around)? the way her head is shaped and those baby eyes.. adorable.

Congrats! My dog is a rescue too. Lots of great dogs can be found at rescues and shelters.

Its good to know that some people still care for these little loving creatures, I will soon post pictures of all my cats, 12 of them. Good luck and congrats!

i dont.

Eh.. I asked a forum who helps out with finding out what breed of dog you have (mix or not) and they said she looked like a lot of lab with some pit, maybe 25% pit and 75% lab.

She looks almost like my brother's dog though, who is half pit half lab. It's in her eyes and forehead. Either way, cute dog.

I know what a pittie is, Papi :silly: :D

Everything is going great so far. Today I took her to visit my mom and she had a blast playing with Harley and Tanner. Tanner came from the same foster home. She seemed to recognize the house. Poor cats had to stay up stairs though. The foster mom is bringing over the adoption papers Monday. I see some pit in her too. I have seen a picture of American bulldog lab mixes and they look like her too. Maybe I will get one of those DNA tests for muts.

That's great to hear, Jess!
She looks a bit small for an ambull mix... But I have seen some small-ish ambulls.

My bother's lab/pit is about 50lbs.. 60 now, he's a chubby thing.
