At craiglist that is. Free tanks are always at least two hours of driving away./ After one has driven four hours there and back, is a free 20 gal tank worth it anymore?.
Not like I have that much room to play around with either.
Being lower middle class is quite limiting when it comes to hobbies that need room.

Fish for adoption are always the usual run of tankbusters.
The pacus in 55-125 tanks that are now too big, the oscars sometimes living in 10-30 gal tanks, the goldfish in the same size tanks and everyones' favorite the irredescent sharks. Small community fish only seem to be sold with the tanks they already live in and many are in strange mixed communities.

Partly due to greedy landlords, I can't afford a dog so I can only look longingly when I find a dog I might like. Generally it's filled with unwanted cats described with positive attributes to increase their chances of standing out among the multitudes of cats posted every day.

LOL! I am always looking for great homes for my babies, of course there platy and guppy. I look all the time, but know its not possible to have other fish because it costs to much for me any more. but I do love my babies and they bring lots of joy to my kids to. I had to recently take 2 tanks down, I kept one up for the shrimp and the snails, but the other two were my well planted tanks and it broke my heart. the best part of this all was my power bill went down 50 bucks!!
I still look, but then I think oye the cost, the work .... then I walk away

I dont look because I wont find anything nice within 100 miles of me. The only time I look is when I'm about to go to Halifax, and I check Kijiji for cheapo tanks. I'm pitiful, I know

Im with you on this. I bought a 2x96W Coralife hood from a guy who was moving for $50. I didn't need it but i couldn't pass it up, im sure im going to need it in the future :grinyes: It's routine for me to surf CL for anything when i get to work in the morning and when i get home.

Tip: Ask the person to meet you half way, or if they can deliver it.

Long live the hunt :headbang2:
