How do you guys feel about the reaction co2 system you can buy in the store. The basicly glorified DIY's that petsmart and petco sells? Using excel as I can't affored presurized yet; but could I get buy with one of the store bought systems?
I would rather setup a 2L diy instead of wasting money on the .5-1L bottles they sell for almost $30

A 2l DIY setup is extremely cheap at first. For under 6 dollars, you will get about 3 weeks of CO2, and replacing it only costs a few cents. Go for DIY if you can't afford Pressurized.

1) IMO a little CO2 is better then no CO2.
2) Excel (IMO) is a good supplement and does not replace CO2.
3) The store bought CO2 systems are safer to use then DIY kind (I have used both).
4) The pressurize tanks are expensive in the begining, but less hassel in the end.

I have failed twice on DIY CO2, I think I am getting leaks. I am so frustrated with the diy, that I was just going to buy it. So the feeling is that Excel is worse then DIY, I am better off using DIY I will try once again then to do the DIY.

What kinda loose I must be if I can't even do a simple DIY CO2
if you dont succeed try and try again..
figure out what you did wrong and try and fix it. May take a few times to get used to it
